Greenpower Goblin Cars
This is an exciting project with numerous learning opportunities!
Goblin kit cars are designed for primary schools and provide a starting point for involvement with the more advanced racing events that our high school pupils are currently involved in.

Pupils build the electrically powered kit cars and are then able to compete against other schools, testing their driving skills. If required teachers can form partnerships with their local high school or other primary schools within Stoke-on Trent and Staffordshire.
Schools sometimes see lack of expertise and support as a stumbling block to engaging with this project. However, Staffordshire STEM centre has many ambassadors from within industry and commerce who can provide the necessary support.
Key Stage Focus: KS2, KS3

Goblin activities and events are growing in popularity. Staffordshire STEM Centre hold two events annually within Staffordshire, allowing schools to network and test their vehicle in controlled conditions. In addition there are several annual regional events and a “National Gathering of Goblins”, at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit, Sussex.
