Staffordshire STEM Centre Team
![]() Malcolm EyreDirectorMalcolm Eyre has been Director of Staffordshire STEM Centre since 2007. He has over 22 years of teaching experience in High Schools across the County with specialism in Design and Technology. Malcolm has extensive knowledge of departmental management and whole school project management. He has expertise in the organisation and delivery of extra curricula trips, learner activities and the successful running of STEM Clubs with some Clubs achieving National recognition. Since joining the STEM Centre, Malcolm has delivered a range of teacher CPD sessions on behalf of DATA, The Science Learning Centre, Staffordshire University and Staffordshire County Council.
![]() Tony HomerDeputy DirectorTony leads on the development of curriculum resources and industrial case studies and has responsibility for project management. He is an experienced teacher of 26 years, with a history of working sucessfully with industry . He has managed the Medical Technology project with its dedicated website which contains a large volume of support materials. Tony is a consultant for Ofqual the SSATs CPD Store and LSN. He has an Honours Degree in Education.
![]() Ann CroftPrimary Projects ManagerAnn is responsible for the delivery of Science, Design and Technology programmes for primary schools. She joined Staffordshire STEM Centre in 2005 to help develop activities and provide training. Ann is a qualified clothing designer and has experience of working in industry. Ann has a First Class Bachelor of Science in Design and a Certificate of Education. Ann has worked as a Primary School Teacher in Stoke-on-Trent and several other schools in Staffordshire.
![]() Kevin FordSTEM Ambassadors ManagerKevin joined the Centre in 2005 to manage the STEM Ambassadors and Greenpower Schemes. He had previously worked as a High School Teacher for 30 years, including as Head of Design & Technology for 20 years. During that time he established a very successful Young Engineers’ Club, and a 'Greenpower' electric car endurance racing team. Kevin brings industrial experience to the team as a design draughtsman. He has experience of engineering design and has produced fractional horsepower motors and ceramic motor core designs. He is a member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology.
![]() Jenifer WilsonField OfficerJenifer joined the team in 2007, following her role as a teacher representative on the Staffordshire STEM Centre Development Board. Previously, she worked as a Science Teacher for 30 years, and for 18 years she delivered CREST and STEM Awards to students in Secondary education. Jennifer's key role as Field Officer is to visit schools and assist in the delivery of CREST Awards.
![]() Helen FraserAdministrative AssistantHelen joined the team in March 2007. Previously, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Ministry of Defence at RAF Stafford. Her main role is to provide admin support to the team and manage telephone enquiries. She is also responsible for the STEMNET and CREST databases and provides support for the Primary Science Award and CREST Awards. |
