Partnerships in STEM
Introducing New and Exciting STEM Activities to the Staffordshire Region!
EntrustSTEM Centre collaborates with several partner organisations to deliver exciting STEM activities for young people.
The activities present students with exciting challenges that develop their skills of communication and teamwork. Some explore the worlds of applied Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and introduces students to the real "world of work."
FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) is an exciting and innovative STEM challenge for teams of young people between 9 and 16 years of age. Teams use LEGO RCX or NXT interface to build small robotic vehicles that carry out problem solving missions.

Battery powered vehicles with bicycle wheels are used in national endurance competitions. Entrust STEM run an annual test day at Darley Moor and support schools with the building and development of cars often with support from STEM Ambassadors.

This brand new initiative aims to develop an interest in engineering. Membership is free of charge. Staffordshire STEM Centre is managing a developing network in the Birmingham area. Three of our staff has experience of running Young Engineers clubs in schools.
The EES is a prestigious work experience scheme. Students get in-depth, hands on experience of engineering, design and research at a professional level, and gain experience of problem solving, team working, presentation skills and project management. A professional engineer from a link company works with a team of 4 students and their teacher on a real engineering problem, over a period of 6 months.
