Star Science Award Scheme

Linked to the CREST Star Investigation Packs

The Staffordshire STEM Centre package for this is without equal in the UK.  The Feedback from schools involved is outstanding.

In primary schools, teachers are under considerable pressure to deliver high standards and reach ever more demanding targets.  With the Staffordshire STEM Centre package we can help you do that.  There is minimal paperwork and reports from schools clearly suggest it REDUCES work laod.  Providing an exciting 'hands on' SC1 experience is made easier if you join the Primary Science Award Scheme.

Staffordshire STEM Centre has:
  • Taken a tried and tested national product, matched it carefully to the National Curriculum and the QDCA scheme and developed a support strategy to match teacher requirements.
  • Teachers have options to use over 100 investigations.
  • Investigations and information provided is time saving, flexible and caters for non specialists.
  • Identified and sourced consumable resources and matched them to the investigations.
  • Continually evaluated the scheme to modify and develop.  It is based on teacher feedback and government initiatives.
  • Arranged for progression from age 5 to 12 years - with options for transition units and/or gifted and talented.
  • Ensured the activity fits easily into your normal curriculum with investigations typically taking 1 hour.

We then:

  • Provide free twilight workshops to explain how it all works with documentation that can be photocopied for use
  • Provides enough consumable resources for your investigations and delivers them to school at the beginning of term.
  • Provides specially printed certificates for all children who achieve - and all could if tasks are done!
  • Pays towards the cost of the CREST Star certificate and badge!
  • Provides assistance when the projects running.
